I was born in Mexico City, Mexico. I received my B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering with Summa Cum Laude from the Instituto Tecnolʫgico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico City in 2008. I received my M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2011. Furthermore, I have a Data Science Specialization awarded by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2015.
My interests cover various areas in mechatronics, mathematics, computer science and data science. I have done research in Partial Differential Equations, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping, Wireless Sensor Networks in Cognitive Radio Regimes, and Nonlinear System Identification. My work has been presented in Saudi Arabia, Spain, Japan, Italy, Canada, France and the United Kingdom.
I am currently conducting my PhD studies in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. My current research focuses on Data Mining and Machine Learning for Environmental Systems Modelling and Analysis.
